Botswana and Zimbabwe Safari Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Victoria Falls & Zambezi Sunset Dinner Cruise

You’ll be warmly welcomed and greeted by our expert Safari team on arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport, and transferred to your lodge. After settling in, enjoy some leisure time. You will later embark on an evening sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River while watching numerous aquatic species such as hippos, crocodiles, and elephants gather along the riverbanks while you dine under the African sky. Return to your lodge for an overnight stay in the heart of Victoria Falls.

Day 2 – Guided Tour of the Falls & Boma Cultural Dinner

You’ll start the day with a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Experience the awe-inspiring sight and sound of the “Smoke That Thunders” as you explore the viewpoints and learn about the area’s geology and history. The afternoon is free for optional activities such as a helicopter flight, village visit, or local craft shopping. In the evening, enjoy a vibrant Boma Dinner Experience with traditional Zimbabwean cuisine, music, and cultural performances.

Day 3 – Transfer to Hwange National Park & Afternoon Relaxation

After breakfast, depart for Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest wildlife reserve, known for its impressive elephant population and diverse habitats. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon at leisure to relax by the pool or enjoy a short-guided walk around the camp. Dinner and overnight at your safari lodge inside or near the park.

Day 4 – Full Day Safari in Hwange National Park

After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day safari in Hwange National Park exploring the park’s open plains, teak forests, and waterholes that attract large herds of elephants, buffalo, and numerous antelope species. While here, you will have the chance to keep an eye out for predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs. A picnic lunch will be served in the bush before continuing your adventure into the afternoon. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening under the stars.

Day 5 – Transfer to Chobe National Park (Botswana) & Afternoon River Safari

After breakfast, cross the border into Botswana and head to Chobe National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and rich wildlife diversity. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon river safari along the Chobe River. Witness elephants bathing, hippos wallowing, and spectacular birdlife as the sun sets over the water.

Day 6 – Chobe National Park Game Drive & Leisure

You will begin your day with an early morning game drive through Chobe’s savannah and woodland landscapes, offering excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, giraffes, and buffalo. Return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You may opt to swim in the pool, enjoy a spa treatment, or simply relax while overlooking the river.

Day 7 – Return to Victoria Falls International Airport & Departure

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to Victoria Falls for your return flight home or onward journey. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Depart with lasting memories of an incredible safari adventure across Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Safari Notes (Logistics and Rooming)

• Rooming: 2 Single rooms in luxury hotels or lodges for 6 nights on Full Board.
• Transfers: We shall use a private air-conditioned 4×4 Safari Landcruiser or open sided Jeep throughout the safari road transfers and game drives & professional experienced English-speaking driver-guide.
• Sightseeing Activities: These will include View of the Victoria Falls, Wildlife on river Zambezi, Hwange National Park and Chobe National Park and local people’s lifestyles. All activities will be booked and secured for you after the confirmation of this tour
• Meals: We shall provide you with meals throughout the safari.
